We would like to thank everyone who attended the fireworks event! It was pure epicness! It started off in a surprising manner as users thought that the fountain fireworks were it. All of a sudden, there was a loud bang in mid-air that made your whole body tense up. If you were lucky, you were able to catch a few glimpses at the images that the fireworks created (one being a smiley face). Unfortunately, the server had some difficulty with the amount of users and the amount of fireworks. Our fireworks were just far superior than the SA:MP engine could handle. Eventually, Clem was able to modify the script so users could play with the fireworks without crashing the server. Users were even more entertained when the unaware plane (AT-400) flew by and got taken out by our fireworks. All in all, we had a great day with lots of kaboomy and shiny objects. Be ready because there are more events on the way!
For those that have missed the event, please check out Mercy's thread . Several users have mentioned that they will be uploading videos to youtube. We will be posting those videos on the front page once they are uploaded.
AboveUltimate SA:MP Server - Hydra Blast! (News and Updates)
The AU 2009 New Year Party is almost here! I have many users asking me why it was not held on January 1, 2009. We are not holding the New Year event on that date because everyone will be busy. If you showed up to the AU Advisory Meeting on December 7, 2008, you would remember all of us agreeing on a day that majority of us could attend. We know that the new year is not celebrated on the 4th of January. The party will begin at the AU Hotel in the grand hall. From there, we will board the buses and head to the Christmas Ranch. We will then have everyone sit comfortably by the river where they will be able to see a fantastic fireworks display. After the fireworks are finished, users will be able to play with the fireworks before they are removed.
We were going to have the AU Advisory Meeting on January 11, 2009. It will contain security officers and all the stuff as the last time. If you want to be security for the event, please send a private message to AgentLopez and label the subject as "Security Officer." Even if you were a security officer last meeting, you need to reapply by sending another private message. Detailed instructions will be mailed to all security and will include exaclty what needs to be done. We want this meeting to go much smoother than the last one. Other than that, everyone needs to know that the meeting will be held at the AU Hotel in the grand hall.
